The Hoefer PS600 Electrophoresis Power Supply is a robust midrange solution designed for a wide range of electrophoresis and blotting techniques, including large format and high throughput applications. Featuring a compact design, large handle, and user-friendly interface, the PS600 is easy to set up and operate in any lab setting. Its large, easy-to-read LED display allows for simple configuration of constant voltage or current parameters, timer settings up to 999 minutes, and effortless initiation of runs. With a power output range of 5 to 600 V and 3 to 750 mA, this unit provides a dependable 150 W of maximum power.
The PS600 supports three key modes of operation: Constant Voltage Mode, where the power supply maintains the user-selected voltage by adjusting the current flow; Constant Current Mode, where the supply maintains the chosen current by modulating the voltage supplied; and Automatic Crossover, which seamlessly shifts between modes when the constant parameter cannot be sustained due to power limits. Additional features such as automatic recovery after power failure, short circuit and open circuit protection, and four sets of 4 mm output jacks add to its versatility and safety.
