The PS200HC operates in three distinct modes: Constant Voltage Mode, where the power supply maintains the user-selected voltage by automatically adjusting the current flow; Constant Current Mode, where it maintains the selected current flow by adjusting the voltage supplied; and Automatic Crossover, which ensures that when the constant parameter (voltage or current) cannot be maintained due to operating limits, the system switches to maintaining the other parameter.
