The Agilent 34970A is a modular data logger switch unit featuring a 3-slot mainframe that supports up to 60 two-wire channels via plug-in modules. It integrates a 6½-digit Digital Multimeter (DMM) capable of measuring voltage, current, resistance, frequency, and temperature.
Available plug-in modules include:
- 34901A: 20-channel multiplexer
- 34902A: 16-channel actuator
- 34908A: 40-channel single-ended multiplexer
Standard interfaces consist of GPIB and RS-232, with USB compatibility via an adapter. The unit supports data logging over time and can scan up to 250 channels per second, depending on module configuration.
User interaction is facilitated through front-panel controls with an LCD, along with remote control using SCPI commands.
