Comparators are used to ensure consistency in mass measurements as well as to verify weights according to legal metrology requirements. RADWAG mass comparators have been recognized by calibration laboratories in many countries. The HRP 5Y.KO mass comparators consist of two elements: a professional weighing platform (modern design of an electromagnetic mechanism in a hermetic steel casing) and 5Y terminal. The weighing platform is made of steel and features marks facilitating centric loading of mass standards. The comparator can be equipped with a self-centring weighing pan (extra charge), which significantly minimises the influence of eccentricity during measurements. The self-centring weighing pan eliminates the error of placing the weight "out of pan centre". This solution also enables calibrating weights of different shapes and dimensions without the need to set the positioners for central loading of the mass standard each time. The comparator has a user-friendly menu. Data security and work results archiving are ensured by RADWAG terminal software.

The APP 5Y.KO series features an intuitive menu supporting a user in instrument operation. The standard equipment of the UYA 5Y.KO mass comparator is an anti-draft chamber eliminating imperfect conditions in weighing rooms (air drafts). The mass comparator is placed inside the anti-draft chamber. Sliding side panes enable easy access to the weighing chamber. Mass comparator UYA 5Y.KO series, comprises two components. One of them holds the electronic module, and the other precise mechanical measuring system. Such solution guarantees elimination of temperature influence (warming of electronic elements) on the comparator's indications. The comparator features an aesthetic, cylindrically shaped weighing chamber with glass draft shield and automatic door opening system. All elements of the weighing chamber are manufactured from glass or metal to minimize the influence of electrostatic charges on the measuring result. Modular design, upon disassembling respective module, enables using the susceptometer as a mass comparator or a balance.
