The HRP 5Y.KO series of mass comparators enables calibrating mass standards and weights in accordanc (more)e with OIML Recommendation (R-111) for class F2 and lower classes. Comparators are used to ensure consistency in mass measurements as well as to verify weights according to legal metrology requirements. RADWAG mass comparators have been recognized by calibration laboratories in many countries. The HRP 5Y.KO mass comparators consist of two elements: a professional weighing platform (modern design of an electromagnetic mechanism in a hermetic steel casing) and 5Y terminal. The weighing platform is made of steel and features marks facilitating centric loading of mass standards. The comparator can be equipped with a self-centring weighing pan (extra charge), which significantly minimises the influence of eccentricity during measurements. The self-centring weighing pan eliminates the error of placing the weight "out of pan centre". This solution also enables calibrating weights of different shapes and dimensions without the need to set the positioners for central loading of the mass standard each time. The comparator has a user-friendly menu. Data security and work results archiving are ensured by RADWAG terminal software.

RADWAG-manufactured AVK-1000 automatic vacuum mass comparator is intended for national metrological  (more)institutes that transfer and maintain the national reference mass standard of 1 kg. The comparator is intended for weighing mass standards and silicone spheres of 100 mm diameter. It enables comparison of up to 6 prototypes of max 1kg mass. The repeatability of the process is of 0.3 µg and readability of d = 0.1 µg. A specially designed vacuum chamber enables carrying out measurements in a vacuum of 10-6 mbar capacity or in atmosphere containing noble gases. AVK-1000 is equipped with suspended weighing pan that eliminates eccentricity errors. Standard version of the mass comparator features thermo-hygro-barometer for testing ambient conditions with great accuracy: pressure of 0.001hPa, humidity of 0.01% and temperature of 0.001 °C. The comparator is also equipped with high quality vacuum gauge. The AVK-1000 vacuum mass comparator can be equipped with the LOAD LOCK system for carrying mass standards. The system enables switching or adding artefacts without changing the atmosphere inside the main chamber. With the use of a special chamber for mass standards switching the whole process is 90% shorter. During mass standards replacement carried out without the use of the LOAD LOCK system, the air enters the main chamber of the mass comparator. After each opening of the chamber it is necessary to pump the air out in order to obtain required vacuum value. The vacuum mass comparator needs approx. 48 hours in order to obtain vacuum that ensures measurement repeatability. The LOAD LOCK is equipped with a high-efficiency pump system, the time of pumping the air out in order to enable opening of the valve of the main chamber is significantly shortened. The stabilization of the main chamber after replacing/adding the mass standard and closing the valve connecting the main chamber and the LOAD LOCK system takes 5 hours. The high-quality vacuum gauges enable monitoring and comparing the vacuum value in order to determine the moment when opening the valve again and replacing the mass standard is available. A specially designed viewfinder enables monitoring of the process. The LOAD LOCK enables switching objects of dimensions adapted to the AVK-1000 mass comparator: cylindrical mass standards of 22-95 mm diameter and silicone spheres of 40-100 mm diameter. Supplementing the AVK-1000 vacuum mass comparator with LOAD LOCK system significantly improves the comparison performance.

An additional anti-draft chamber dedicated for mass comparators APP KO series. It is intended for in (more)struments operating in unfavourable conditions (air movement, air gusts). The anti-draft chamber is installed on a weighing table, and a mass comparator is placed inside the chamber. The chamber features slidable side and top glass doors, thus ensuring free access to mass comparator’s weighing chamber. All components of the anti-draft chamber are made of metal and glass with conductive coating for eliminating influence of electrostatics on a measurement result.

They provide comparison of 100 g – 1000 g weights of E1 and 10 g - 1000 g weights of E2 and lower classes. The device is equipped with 18 magazine positions allowing to deposit up to 18 weights. This solution allows to perform either comparison for complete set of weights carried out within one process or comparison for just a few weights of the same mass. Owing to elimination of human factor and with temperature changes and air drafts reduced to zero, UMA automatic mass comparators provide the highest possible measurement repeatability.

Function of Automatic Mass Standard Dissemination RMCM-5 mass comparator facilitates a complete dissemination process. This is possible thanks to use of the intermediate mass standard magazine, which significantly shortens comparison duration and reduces wear and tear of the transport robot. Real-Time Measurement of Ambient Conditions The RMCM-100 mass comparator comes standard with a top-class thermo-hygro-barometer enabling real-time control of ambient conditions in three locations. The characteristic feature of the RMCM-100 is high readability of pressure, 0.001 hPa, humidity, 0.01 %, and temperature, 0.001 °C. Reliability of ambient conditions measurement carried out using the thermo-hygro-barometer is confirmed by a calibration certificate. A Mass Comparator and a Robotic Transport System in One Compact Device This combination results with: reduction of air drafts and vibrations from a robotic system in the course of comparison, minimised risk of human error, easier maintaining of stable environmental conditions inside the weighing chamber (thanks to a compact device dimensions). Optional Equipment Additional equipment includes a video camera enabling remote preview of comparison process in real time (Internet access required), and RMCS software. The RMCS allows unrestricted monitoring of the comparison process. Remote, real-time preview of comparison process in real time is possible thanks to a video camera. Universal magazine insert shape Mass standard magazine features 120 positions. The RMCM-100 enables comparison of weights of all shapes compliant with OIML recommendations, using just one universal insert.
