The HRP 5Y.KO series of mass comparators enables calibrating mass standards and weights in accordanc (more)e with OIML Recommendation (R-111) for class F2 and lower classes. Comparators are used to ensure consistency in mass measurements as well as to verify weights according to legal metrology requirements. RADWAG mass comparators have been recognized by calibration laboratories in many countries. The HRP 5Y.KO mass comparators consist of two elements: a professional weighing platform (modern design of an electromagnetic mechanism in a hermetic steel casing) and 5Y terminal. The weighing platform is made of steel and features marks facilitating centric loading of mass standards. The comparator can be equipped with a self-centring weighing pan (extra charge), which significantly minimises the influence of eccentricity during measurements. The self-centring weighing pan eliminates the error of placing the weight "out of pan centre". This solution also enables calibrating weights of different shapes and dimensions without the need to set the positioners for central loading of the mass standard each time. The comparator has a user-friendly menu. Data security and work results archiving are ensured by RADWAG terminal software.

Mass comparators are used for both, ensuring traceability of mass measurements and verification of weights in accordance with the principles of legal metrology. RADWAG Mass Comparators have gained recognition among Accredited Calibration Laboratories in many countries. The standard equipment of the UYA 5Y.KO mass comparator is an anti-draft chamber eliminating imperfect conditions in weighing rooms (air drafts). The mass comparator is placed inside the anti-draft chamber. Sliding side panes enable easy access to the weighing chamber. Mass comparator UYA 5Y.KO series, comprises two components. One of them holds the electronic module, and the other precise mechanical measuring system. Such solution guarantees elimination of temperature influence (warming of electronic elements) on the comparator's indications. The comparator features an aesthetic, cylindrically shaped weighing chamber with glass draft shield and automatic door opening system. All elements of the weighing chamber are manufactured from glass or metal to minimize the influence of electrostatic charges on the measuring result. CAUTION: In order to carry out the weighing process by means of microbalance and ultra-microbalances correctly, it is necessary to prepare the workstation and to operate the device as required. The “floating” weighing pan is installed in course of a manufacturing process therefore remember to order it when purchasing the APP KO comparator as it is not sold separately. The pan has been designed to aid the operator stabilize and level weights that are located eccentrically. Additionally it helps to place eccentrically group of weights, total mass of which equals reference weight mass. The pan surface is covered with cork featuring marks that determine position of particular weights.
