Comparators are used to ensure consistency in mass measurements as well as to verify weights according to legal metrology requirements. RADWAG mass comparators have been recognized by calibration laboratories in many countries. The HRP 5Y.KO mass comparators consist of two elements: a professional weighing platform (modern design of an electromagnetic mechanism in a hermetic steel casing) and 5Y terminal. The weighing platform is made of steel and features marks facilitating centric loading of mass standards. The comparator can be equipped with a self-centring weighing pan (extra charge), which significantly minimises the influence of eccentricity during measurements. The self-centring weighing pan eliminates the error of placing the weight "out of pan centre". This solution also enables calibrating weights of different shapes and dimensions without the need to set the positioners for central loading of the mass standard each time. The comparator has a user-friendly menu. Data security and work results archiving are ensured by RADWAG terminal software.

The set is an ideal solution for drying large volume samples, e.g. textiles, or products that placed (more) on the weighing pan tend to increase their volume. The container allows to enclose the sample within a limited space wherein the possibility to determine the moisture content value remains unaffected. In the case of large-volume samples, the kit prevents the sample from coming into contact with solid elements of the moisture analyzer (such as the heating element or its cover) and protects it from damage. Closing a large-volume, low-density sample in the container also reduces the risk of errors resulting from the effect of the sample being raised by warm air.
