Greenough
The Motic GM-171 Stereo Microscope is specifically designed for gemological and precious mineral analysis, offering a versatile magnification range from 7.5X to 50X. Equipped with a Greenough optical system, this microscope delivers sharp, high-quality images, ideal for detailed examination of gems and stones. The binocular head is inclined at 45°, allowing for ergonomic viewing, while the adjustable interpupillary distance (52-75mm) ensures comfort during extended use. Diopter adjustment on both eyepieces (+/- 5 diopter) provides precise vision correction, and the widefield WF10X/23mm eyepieces offer a broad field of view.
This microscope is built for flexibility and ease of use, featuring a 110mm working distance and a 360° rotatable base, which makes handling samples simple and efficient. The adjustable iris diaphragm, with an aperture range from Ø41mm to Ø2mm, enhances the control of lighting conditions. Incident illumination is provided by a 7W fluorescent gooseneck light, while a 6V/30W Quartz Halogen lamp with intensity control ensures bright transmitted illumination with a darkfield option. The GM-171 also comes with a durable aluminum carrying case, a stainless steel wire stone holder, and a dust cover, making it a comprehensive tool for professionals in the gemology field.
