You can rely on the AREC for demanding laboratory reactions, stirring volumes up to 15 liters (H2O), from 50 up to 1500 rpm, thanks to the powerful motor and magnetic coupling. The electronic control adapts the stirring speed to any variation in the viscosity of the medium. SAFETY AND EASE OF USE FOR LAB OPERATORS The AREC stirrer with heating plate guarantees a superior level of safety and protection for laboratory operators, as it is entirely made of technopolymer and is equipped with an extremely resistant ceramic plate, ideal for high resistance to acids, bases and solvents . When the plate temperature is above 50°C and the heating function is not active, a safety message is displayed. The control panel is positioned at a safe distance from heat sources and the technopolymer structure is carefully designed so that accidental spills of liquids cannot reach the electronics. The extremely durable ceramic plate is easy to clean and resistant to acids, bases and solvents. Using a damp cloth, all residues will be easily removed. It emits blue light at a wavelength of 465nm, perfect for excitation of most green fluorophors, including Accuris’ SmartGlow, SYBR Green, SYBR Safe, SYBR Gold, GelStar, GelGreen, to name a few. The SmartBlue also works for excitation of EtBr. Exposing DNA to this wavelength does not cause molecular damage, and results in a much higher downstream cloning efficiency as compared to even short UV light exposures. In addition, the visible blue light is not damaging to the user’s skin and is less harmful to the eyes. Two position filter cover: The SmartBlue transilluminator requires no special shielding, however, the light does need to be filtered for visualization of the dyes.
