SAFETY AND EASE OF USE FOR LAB OPERATORS The AREC stirrer with heating plate guarantees a superior level of safety and protection for laboratory operators, as it is entirely made of technopolymer and is equipped with an extremely resistant ceramic plate, ideal for high resistance to acids, bases and solvents . When the plate temperature is above 50°C and the heating function is not active, a safety message is displayed. The control panel is positioned at a safe distance from heat sources and the technopolymer structure is carefully designed so that accidental spills of liquids cannot reach the electronics. The extremely durable ceramic plate is easy to clean and resistant to acids, bases and solvents. Using a damp cloth, all residues will be easily removed. SAVE TIME AND SPACE WITH THE NEW CONTROL PANEL Thanks to the extremely bright and easy-to-read digital display, the temperature can be monitored constantly. Two new comfortable knobs: the one on the left for the temperature (up to 550°C), the one on the right for the stirring speed (up to 1500 rpm). The AREX 5 Digital magnetic stirrer is a beautiful instrument with a dual digital display for thermoregulating samples with an accuracy of ± 1.0 °C. Thanks to the VTF system then, it will be possible to achieve an accuracy of ± 0.5°C. Pt100 and Pt1000 probes are also available as an option. RESISTANCE, SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE The plate of the AREX 5 Digital Velp model is IP42 certified and is made of aluminum alloy coated with a ceramic layer, which guarantees protection from scratches and chemical agents, making it very resistant and easy to clean. It is therefore preferred in laboratories where acids, bases and solvents are used. Safety circuits and overtemperature protection guarantee complete protection for the operators. Two light indicators inform the user when the heating function is active. Even when the instrument is switched off, a safety message ('HOT') remains on the display until the plate temperature drops below 50°C. A further alarm will detect the presence of the probe. The plate structure and the insulating disc protect the internal parts and ensure high resistance to the most demanding laboratory environments and applications, for example when working with cold fluids (below 0°C). AREX 5 is designed to last over time and like most Velp products it is guaranteed for 3 years. THERMOREGULATION When a temperature probe is connected, it is possible to choose 2 different thermoregulation modes to satisfy all laboratory needs: - FAST: the set temperature is reached quickly - FINE: the set temperature is reached more slowly, minimizing the overshoot SHAKING AREX 5 is equipped with a powerful brushless motor for daily applications, being able to agitate up to 20 liters (H2O). It is also equipped with SpeedServo™ technology, which allows the speed to be kept constant even when the viscosity of the sample varies. The combination of the powerful brushless motor and the strong magnetic coupling ensure homogeneous stirring, even in the peripheral areas of the plate, guaranteeing a constant speed in all positions. It is based on the latest solutions and an advanced computing platform. Versatile terminal’s software will satisfy even the most demanding users and system integrators. The basic version of the terminal features a vast range of communication interfaces, which range can additionally be expanded. Housing The housing, made of AISI 304 stainless steel, ensures high ingress protection, IP66 / IP68. The terminal is equipped with 7” colour LCD display and membrane keyboard. Ease of operation, clear menu and intuitive information arrangement on the display guarantee comfort of operation. Hermetic communication interface connectors are located on the back side of the housing. Stable mount bracket enables to mount the terminal either on a flat horizontal surface or on the wall. The device tilt can be easily adjusted. Weighing Platform Operation Basic version of the terminal supports 1 analog weighing platform. The possibility to install an additional weighing module enables to support 2 weighing platforms. Diodes Diode bar graph is located on the top of the operation panel and consists of 9 red and green diode fields. Communication Interfaces The terminal is equipped with RS 322, RS 485, USB, Ethernet, digital inputs/outputs and analog output. This enables connection with external devices such as barcode scanners, printers, external displays, control buttons, light signalling towers, other controlling/signalling devices, systems for automatic process control and superior IT systems. The connection is possible due to the implemented and complex character-based communication protocol. In the future, the interfaces will be extended with Profibus and Profinet. Additionally, Modbus RTU and TCP protocols will be implemented. PUE HX7 in a Version Powered from a ZR-03/2 Buffer Power Supply The terminal can operate even though there is no access to a power source in a special design with power supply from an external buffer power supply ZR-03. The special design consists in modifying the standard version of the PUE HX7 terminal to a variant of this terminal adapted for power supply from a buffer power supply ZR-03/2. The ZR-03/2 set includes a voltage converter and a powerbank. In a special design, the PUE HX7 weighing terminal has a 12-24V DC power socket to which the dedicated ZR-03/2 buffer power supply can be connected. The terminal can be powered only from the ZR-03/2 buffer power supply, not from the 110-230V AC mains or the internal battery. The powerbank can be charged using an external charger, after disconnection from the weighing terminal. The powerbank runs on one set of batteries while the other is charging. The maximum operating time for the HX7 terminal is 20 hours, and the average is 12 hours. The operating time depends on the number of connected peripherals and the power drawn from the terminal.
