The Bruker LUMOS is a fully automated stand-alone FTIR microscope with an 8x objective and can be us (more)ed in transmission, reflection and ATR mode. The measurement results in a single file including visible images, spectral data and sample information. For evaluation and visualization of the microscopic data the software provides powerful and intuitive Chemical Imaging functionality. The LUMOS is a stand-alone FT-IR microscope with an integrated FT-IR spectrometer perfectly matched into its optical design. All components are motorized and electronically coded. The innovation of a motorized ATR-crystal allows the system to switch from transmission or reflection to ATR mode without interaction of the operator, and to measure fully automated sample and background spectra even in ATR mode. The heart of each FT-IR spectrometer is the interferometer. Singer Instruments MSM System This item was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to re (more)quirements. The model on the specification plate reads as 300, but the screen indicates a 400 model upon powering up. We believe it was upgraded at some point. The system appears to be in working condition, with the motorized stage operating via the joystick and communicating with the touchscreen monitor/computer. The camera and light are functional, allowing a clear view of the testing slide on the screen. The item is in good condition overall, with the exception of a bent piece on the right-hand side (see photo). The unit powers up and has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included). When set to -20˚C it dropped to -12˚C after running for 5 hours. It is not designed to heat. It is in good cosmetic condition with some marks from use.
