Artificial single-crystal leucosapphire rods. Produced in USSR, 1985-1988. There are about 80 big (more) rods with length from 50 to 295 mm and diameter from 14 to 20 mm. On the photos 1-4 the rod with dimensions 251*16 is shown as example. And also 178 small rods with length 20...50 mm and diameter 1...3 mm are available. One end surface is polished and another end surface is matted. Side surface is also matted. There are no defects (cracks, splits) observed. Ideal light transmission! Can be used as a light-guide in harsh environment (high-temperature, corrosion, etc) or as a raw material for optical components such a lens, windows production. The price mentioned in advertisement reffers to the rod 251*16 mm.
