The Hoefer TE42 Standard Wet Transfer Tank is a versatile, efficient system designed to transfer proteins and nucleic acids from polyacrylamide or agarose gels onto nylon, nitrocellulose, or PVDF membranes. With a four-slot design, the TE42 allows for both cooled and non-cooled transfers. When used with the optional TE47 heat exchange module, it can handle up to two gels simultaneously, while running up to four gels at once without cooling—ideal for labs needing flexibility in their transfer processes.

Engineered for consistent and precise results, the TE42 provides a uniform electric field for even transfers, and its superior tank design applies equal pressure across the gel stack to prevent distortion. Color-coded, easy-to-assemble cassettes ensure proper orientation during setup, minimizing error. The optional TE47 heat exchanger offers excellent buffer temperature control when paired with an external cooling bath, and a heat exchanger from the SE600 series can also be used. Durable and adaptable, the TE42 meets various transfer needs for high-quality protein and nucleic acid analysis in a range of lab settings.
