Description by the supplier

A homogenizer serves as an industrial or lab-grade apparatus for homogenizing diverse substances spanning from fabric to food and more.

The OV 625 Digital laboratory disperser is an embodiment of top-tier technology and engineering, consistent with the caliber of all Velp scientific equipment. It promises precise and intense shear force to foster quick homogenization, emulsification, suspensions, and fast-paced mixing of biological tissues, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food products. This device is equipped with superior mechanical characteristics and high chemical resistance, rendering it capable of meeting the most rigorous lab-based demands.

DISPLAY AND CONTROL:

Equipped with a vivid, user-friendly LED display and rotary knobs, this instrument enables users to effortlessly adjust the speed within the range of 3,000 to 25,000 rpm. The clear speed details displayed against a black backdrop promote visibility across various conditions.

SAFE AND RESILIENT:

Safety features encompassing gradual set point speed attainment and alarms for overload and over-temperature situations ensure operator safety. Its robust, sealed structure permits operation under even the most challenging circumstances. A three-year warranty is included.

For optimal convenience, select the dual-pole stand model.

SELECTING THE APPROPRIATE ACCESSORY:

The right dispersing tool is vital to realizing high performance and exceptional reproducibility. VELP dispersion tools are composed of stainless steel (316L) and feature a PTFE seal for compatibility with different sample types and reagents. Different dispersion tools are needed to tackle varied fluids. For specific applications to achieve a specific fineness level, two dispersing tools might be necessary. The integration of a knob and swift fastening system simplifies the process of installing and changing the dispersion tool.

PRODUCT FOCUS

WHAT IS A DISPERSER:

The alternative names for a disperser include homogenizer, cell lysor, high shear mixer, polytron, stator rotor homogenizer, sonicizer, or tissue tear. This spectrum of nomenclatures reflects the varied applications and results obtained through various accessories. Essentially, a disperser is formulated to produce a homogeneous mixture by propelling the sample through a limited, confined space. Blade homogenizers, such as Velp's OV 625 Digital, utilize the blades as a rotor for dispersing.

HOW DOES IT WORK:

In a dispersing tool, a rotor revolves at an elevated speed inside a fixed stator. The space between the rotor's tip and the stator slot defines the shear gap. Owing to high circumferential velocity, the fluid is drawn into the dispersion head and propelled radially through the shear gap, leading to particle fragmentation.

Eddy Jet 2 reduces costs per test, hands on time, and consumable use during counts while increasing  (more)microbiology lab’s productivity. This cutting-edge spiral plater automates, standardizes and streamlines plate inoculations with its patented cross-contamination-free technology. Microsyringes give the system unique, unmatched advantages that make it a bestseller. The user interface is very intuitive and there are no setup times. Although Eddy Jet 2 is mostly used by food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical labs, any microbiology lab can greatly benefit from its use. This instrument will generate a threefold dilution concentration gradient on a single plate, allowing labs to skip serial dilutions and most platings. Each sample is processed with a brand new sterile microsyringe, making sample handling a cross-contamination-free process.
