The Perkin Elmer Janus Automated Workstation paired with the Air Science Purair Advanced Ductless Fume Hood was decommissioned from a university laboratory, having been deemed surplus to requirements. This setup has undergone professional servicing and has been validated to be in full operational condition. The workstation initializes properly, with successful checks on motion components such as the Varispan, barcode reader, gripper, Peri pump, and syringe pumps, all conducted without any errors. Maintenance included cleaning and lubrication of the X and Y rails, as well as the gripper Z worm drive. Note that tip pick-up and liquid level sensing functionalities remain unverified due to the absence of tips or system liquid. Currently, the unit is secured with shipping clamps for transport safety. It's important to note that software is not included.
The system is accommodated within an Air Science Purair Advanced Ductless Fume Hood, which has been confirmed to operate correctly, with both lighting and airflow systems functional.
