The LAUDA Variocool series features compact and versatile circulation chillers, ranging from 1200W to 10 kW, that are expertly engineered to disperse process heat from laboratory, small-scale industrial, or production environments. This series of chillers can be utilized within a moderate temperature range from -20°C up to +80°C.


Possessing a space-efficient design, the LAUDA Variocool chillers offer myriad customizable options based on power (kW), pump pressure, flow rate, and tank size, enabling customers to find a solution that ideally complements their specific needs. The process of making changes to the settings has been made more user-friendly with a redesigned control panel and a vivid color TFT display.


Significant features of this series include an adjustable bypass for pressure regulation, top filling opening, and drain tap at the rear. Furthermore, an integrated programmer with 150 segments, segmented into five programs, allows for versatile operations. The SmartCool system, an energy-saving digital control of cooling, includes an automatic compressor control for enhanced performance. The electronic level indicator with a low-level alarm adds an additional layer of safety.


Each of the models (excluding VC 600) is available in air or water-cooled versions, equipped with fixed swivel castors. The more powerful VC 5000 is available with sound insulation or an outdoor installation option.


The cooling performance of the Variocool VC 1200 model, measured with ethanol, gives a comprehensive perspective on its capabilities across varied temperatures.


Specific applications for the LAUDA Variocool range include usage in refractometers, polarimeters, disposable bioreactors, food production extruders, microreactors, and climatic chambers, to name a few.


The equipment comes with connection nozzles and a screw cap. Additionally, there's a provision to easily upgrade the LAUDA Variocool units with different interfaces such as an analog module, contact module, RS 232/485, Profibus, and Ethernet-USB module.
