The canopy provides an air gap to allow room air to enter the ductwork and mix with the filtered air being exhausted to the outside. Inadequate exhaust activates the switch in less than one second and triggers the Class II, Type A2 biosafety cabinet to signal an audio and visual alarm via the LCD display. The motor also increases to maximum speed for personal safety during exhaust failure. The Labconco 3889201 Ventus Canopy Connection Kit for 4-Ft Class II Type A2 Logic+ Biosafety Cabinet adds only 1.25" to the overall height of the biosafety cabinet and is comprised of powder-coated steel. The outlet is 10" (25.4 cm) ID. An exhaust connection is required. A Damper (Catalog Number: 3776800) and Remote Blower (Catalog Number: 7068000 or 7068200) are recommended and are not included.
