The Agilent 1260 Infinity I HPLC G1362A RID Detector is a differential refractometer designed for entry-level UHPLC and HPLC applications. It features:
- Refractive Index Range: 1.00 to 1.75 RIU (calibrated)
- Measurement Range: ± 600 x 10⁻⁶ RIU
- Drift: < 200 x 10⁻⁹ RIU/h
- Optics Temperature Control: 5°C above ambient to 55°C
- Detection Principle: Measures light beam deflection caused by refractive index differences between sample and reference cells in a single flow cell
- Light Path: Diagonally separated sample and reference cells with a reflecting mirror to double the path length
- Light Receiver: Two photodiodes generating electrical current proportional to light intensity
- Automatic Features:
- Light intensity adjustment compensates for lamp degradation and flow cell staining
- Programmable automatic purging of reference flow cell with configurable purge and wait times
- Performance:
- Rapid equilibration and stable baselines for reliable analysis
- Minimum baseline noise ensuring high sensitivity and low detection limits
- Recycle valve maintains system operating conditions, reducing warm-up time and solvent waste
- Data capture rate up to 37 Hz to support fast and high-throughput analytical runs
- Applications: Analysis of carbohydrates, triglycerides, organic acids, pharmaceutical excipients, and polymer characterization by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC).
This detector is fully tested to meet factory specifications prior to shipment.
