The Sorvall LYNX 6000 is a high-speed refrigerated centrifuge with a maximum speed of 29,000 rpm and a maximum RCF of 100,605×g using the T29-8x50 rotor.
It supports a fixed-angle rotor capacity of 6 liters (6×1000 ml tubes) and various swing-bucket rotor configurations up to 4 liters, accommodating microplates and conical tubes.
Speed settings range from 500 to 29,000 rpm with runtimes up to 99 hours including continuous operation.
Temperature control ranges from -20 to +40 °C, with heat dissipation under 2.0 kW.
Dimensions are 700 mm (W) × 805 mm (D) × 930 mm (H), with a deck height of 860 mm and total weight of 293 kg.
Features include a touchscreen interface with Japanese language support, ultra-lightweight carbon fixed-angle rotor for rapid acceleration/deceleration, and Auto-Lock rotor locking system for quick rotor changes.
The centrifuge has an Auto-ID system for automatic recognition of rotor types and specifications, supports storage of 120 programs, and enables logging/exporting of runtime data to support GMP manufacturing compliance.
Power supply is 200–240 V, 30 A, single phase with three-phase compatibility.
