None of these items have been tested at our site - it is likely that some will be spares/repairs, but we anticipate that a reasonable amount should operate well. None of these items have been PAT or electrical safety tested. For this reason, we have marked these as spares/repairs as they should not be used without appropriate electrical safety checks. They are sold as a spares/repairs bundle and further investment in each individual product may be required. This Beckman J2-21 Floor Standing Centrifuge was removed from a university lab where it was surplus  (more)to requirements. We have replaced the lid and repaired an area of cracked plastic underneath it. It is very stable. There are some cracks around the gas strut area. They do not appear to affect the operation of the unit. The unit is functional and has a comprehensive service history. The centrifuge holds a vacuum well and has been tested at: 5,000rpm10,000rpm15,000rpm20,000rpm (Max). It ran fine at all these speeds but the needle isn't totally in sync with the control knob. It has been tested at the following temperatures: 0ºC our thermometer read -15.8ºC20ºC our thermometer read 21.2ºC It appears to probably have a cooling issue. The compressor etc runs fine. It just appears to drop lower than it is set. When set to higher temps, it takes quite a while to heat up.

This Thermo Scientific Heraeus Fresco 21 Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge was removed from a univers (more)ity lab where it was surplus to requirements. The unit was inspected by a service engineer. They replaced the display with one from an older model. It is now green. It is fully working up to 14800rpm and has been fully temperature tested. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with only minor usage marks.

The unit powers up but is showing bulb fault 1, which the manual suggests is a data socket issue. The lamp hours are not registering. It is likey the bulb needs replacing. It is in otherwise good cosmetic condition with minor marks. Sold for spares/repairs.
