Description by the supplier

The Frontier™ 5000 Series FC5707-K Kit is a robust, streamlined, low-speed multifunction centrifuge, specifically designed for various laboratory uses. This kit comes equipped with a modular rotor with standard additions capable of handling both spherical and conical tubes - inclusive of typical blood sample tubes. The kit facilitates straightforward modifications with accompanying accessories to process tubes of reduced sizes.

Enclosed within the FC5707-K model is an angular rotor with a peak carrying capacity of 8 x 15 ml. The specifications entail a maximum relative centrifugal force that amounts to 4.445 g and a superior velocity of 6,800 rpm. The diameter of the tube bereft of the adapter is 18mm/15ml, 1.5ml, with an external/internal radius of 86 mm and an angular deviation of 32 degrees.

To enrich your understanding of the product, do consider checking the Ohaus centrifugation podcast presented by Peter Will, OHAUS's product manager for laboratory equipment who explores the subject of centrifugation and critical safety protocols.

DESIGN AND APPLICABILITY

The FC5707 flaunts a sophisticated yet practical form. Despite its compactness, the model does not compromise on its capabilities thereby conserving precious laboratory bench space.

USER INTERFACE AND FUNCTIONALITY

The model is armed with a cutting-edge touch-wheel control and a sleek waterproof interface. The user-friendly control mechanisms are designed for seamless operation, accommodating glove-wearing users.

The 8 x 15 mL angular rotor is adept in dealing with a wide gamut of applications, allowing tubes with both round and conical bottoms, including blood sample tubes. Additionally, the model can be adjusted easily to manage smaller tubes such as 7.5 and 1.5/2ml.

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS

The centrifuge offers a speed range between 200 rpm and 6,800 rpm with its relative centrifugal force capping at 4.445 g. The rotor can handle a maximum quantum of 8 x 15 ml. The centrifuge has a vast data storage potential accommodating up to 99 programs. The model uses an angular rotor with the capacity of 8 x 15ml and works in acceleration and deceleration gears of 10. The model is mechanically lockable and emits sound less than or equal to 60 ± 2 dB (A). The rotor compatibility is confined to the angular 8 x 15 ml version and has to be manually recognized. It can operate in a swift rotation function from 10 seconds to 99 hours, 59 minutes 59 seconds, and continuously. Lastly, the model complies with CE and FCC safety regulations.
