Becton Dickinson BD Max Automatic Real-time PCR System

The BD MAX System is designed for in vitro diagnostic use, facilitating FDA-cleared nucleic acid testing in clinical labs. It automates the extraction and purification of nucleic acids from various specimens, and performs amplification and detection of target sequences using fluorescence-based real-time PCR.

Capabilities include independent extraction and purification, PCR amplification across 24 lanes, and real-time product detection. It's equipped with an external barcode reader for Sample Buffer tube identification and an internal barcode reader for Work List verification. The System supports multiplex reactions through up to five wavelengths, enabling qualitative, quantitative, and melt sample analysis.
