This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements. The item is in good cos (more)metic condition with some marks from use. There is a crack on the back panel on the right hinge, but it doesn't affect the hinge's ability. The item was plugged in but made no indication it had powered on. It has no power indication LED. We were unable to test it without the software.

The COLONIES COUNTER BCC-1 has been developed to do colonies counting tasks in the microbiology fie (more)ld, in a very comfortable and simple way. It consists of a retro-illuminated surface, marked with a Wolfh�egel graticule where the Petri dishes, are placed in order to identify each bacteria colony, through a magnifying lens 2x, adjustable height by a similar system to a toothed rack. Each time that the marker is pressed on the Petri dish the identified colony is marked, one count is registered on the counter, and an acoustic signal (Bip) is generated confirming the count. Metallic painted housing, digital counter up to 9999, with reset control, and provided with a multi-size holder, it allows to place Petri Dishes from 55mm up to 140mm, without any need of accessory centering adaptor.
