Memmert ICO150med CO₂ Incubator

The Memmert ICO150med CO₂ Incubator is specifically designed to provide and maintain constant environmental conditions necessary for in vitro fertilisation (IVF) applications. It excels in incubating oocytes, spermatozoa, and zygotes in specialized culture dishes, while also supporting gene expression studies and the biosynthesis of RNA and proteins. This incubator offers a working-temperature range from 5°C above ambient up to 50°C. It features a standard sterilization program that lasts 60 minutes at 180°C, allowing sensors to remain in place.

Its precise setpoint temperature ranges from 18 to 50°C with a setting accuracy of 0.1°C. For temperature monitoring, it uses two Pt100 sensors DIN Class A in a 4-wire circuit for mutual checking and function assumption in case of an error. Temperature variation in the chamber is kept within +/- 0.3 K at 37°C, with temperature fluctuations over time limited to +/- 0.1 K.

Humidity control is achieved through a Peltier element, maintaining relative humidity at 93% rh +/- 2.5% with a setting accuracy of 0.5% rh. CO₂ levels are managed digitally through a dual beam NDIR system, featuring an auto-diagnostic system with acoustic fault indication and barometric pressure compensation. The CO₂ adjustment range lies between 0 to 20%, with a setting accuracy of 0.1% and temporal variation within +/- 0.2%.

The incubator supports a maximum of 10 internals, with 2 included, each capable of holding up to 15 kg, while the chamber can bear a total load of 120 kg. The unit boasts a 156-liter volume, with internal dimensions of 560 x 700 x 400 mm and external dimensions of 719 x 1070 x 591 mm, weighing in at 90 kg.
