The Memmert ICO150med CO₂ Incubator, available as a second-hand system, is designed to sustain consistent environmental conditions, primarily supporting in vitro fertilization (IVF) applications. It excels in the incubation of oocytes, spermatozoa, and zygotes within specialized culture dishes. Additionally, its capabilities extend to gene expression and the biosynthesis of RNA and proteins.
This incubator operates within a working temperature range from 5°C above ambient temperature up to 50°C. It features a standard sterilization program that reaches 180°C for 60 minutes, allowing for efficient sterilization without the need to remove sensors. Temperature settings can be precisely controlled between 18°C and 50°C, with a setting accuracy of 0.1°C. The system utilizes dual Pt100 sensors (DIN Class A) in a 4-wire circuit for enhanced reliability and error management.
Temperature stability is ensured with chamber variations of +/- 0.3 K and temporal fluctuations of +/- 0.1 K at 37°C. Humidity control is achieved via a Peltier element that maintains the relative humidity to a maximum of 93% RH, with a setting accuracy of 0.5% RH and a variance of +/- 2.5%.
CO₂ control is managed digitally with a dual beam non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) system, incorporating an auto-diagnostic feature and acoustic fault indicators. The adjustment range for CO₂ is 0 to 20%, with a precision setting accuracy of 0.1% and minimal time variation of +/- 0.2%.
The incubator is spacious with a volume of 156 liters, accommodating up to 10 internals (2 are provided), supporting a total chamber load of 120 kg and a maximum of 15 kg per internal. Internal dimensions measure 560 x 700 x 400 mm, while the overall dimensions are 719 x 1070 x 591 mm, making it a robust yet manageable component for laboratory use. The unit weighs 90 kg, ensuring a stable presence in your workspace.
