The Hoefer SE400 Air-Cooled Vertical Protein Electrophoresis Basic Unit is a durable and economical system ideal for educational labs with multiple users. Constructed with rugged injection-molded materials, this compact unit is designed for longevity and ease of assembly, making it well-suited for consistent use in busy lab environments. The SE400 accommodates glass plates up to 18 x 16 cm, providing ample space for efficient protein analysis. With the addition of a divider plate, users can run two gels simultaneously, enhancing throughput and versatility.


Equipped with a built-in leak-free casting stand, the SE400 streamlines the setup process, while its components—plates, clamps, spacers, and combs—are fully interchangeable with the SE600 Series, allowing labs to expand their setup with ease. Operating smoothly within standard lab conditions, it handles temperatures up to 45°C and humidity levels up to 80%, with power settings reaching 500 V, 60 mA, and 20 W, ensuring reliable performance for routine applications.
