These cells include a buffer tank, safety lid with cables, and leveling bubble. Fast and flexible, the Mini-Sub cell GT cell is our most popular classroom gel box. The Mini-Sub cell GT cell holds either a 7 x 7 cm or a 7 x 10 cm gel tray. A 10 cm agarose gel poured with two 8-well combs easily accommodates two student teams at a time. This Beckman Coulter Genomelab GeXP Genetics Analysis was removed from a university lab where it was (more) surplus to requirements. The item powers on, we are unable to test it further at our facility. The lab confirmed it was in working order prior to removal. Successfully performed self-calibration upon powering up. It is in good cosmetic condition internally and externally, with minor marks from use. The power lead and control cable are included.

Novex Quickpoint (from Invitrogen) is a fast and easy acrylamide gel electrophoresis system for separating nucleic acids. It can be used in many applications in place of large sequencing gels such as in RNase protection (RPA), differential display and phage display. The system can also be used to run sequencing reactions where short DNA read lengths (60-80bp) may be sufficient, such as in site directed mutagenesis. This system uses a pH-neutral buffer that increases the stability of the gel and allows better resolution of bands compared to the usual TBE buffer.

Accuris myGel Mini Electrophoresis System The myGel mini gel box attaches directly to the power supp (more)ly for a secure connection everytime. Selectable parameters include 3 preset voltages – 35V, 50V or 100V – and a 99 minute timer. All are set using the memberane keypad. The safety lid is vented to help dissipate heat generated during electrophoresis, and features a viewing area above the gel. Current will only run through the system when the lid is properly in place on top of the gel box. Trays and casting stands for both 10.5 x 6cm and 5 x 6cm gels are included with the myGel Mini system, as are double-sided combs. The smaller tooth combs are compatible with multichannel pipettes. Casting is quick and easy – just place the tray in the casting stand and pour.
