Applied Biosystems ABI Prism 7900HT This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to  (more)requirements. The unit powers up but has the following issues. The 7900 did connect to the PC at first but there appears to be a fault with the plate loader. The door will not open when instructed. If you try to run a program you get a 3003 error. 'unable to load the plate, Tray not at up position'.There was a loud humming noise coming from the unit which appeared to get louder the longer it was switched on. Then would no longer connect to the PC. We have removed the side panels but cannot see any obvious issues. It is sold for spares/repairs. The PC is included. This Pyrosequencing PSQ96MA Pyrosequencer was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to  (more)requirements. The unit powers up and the lab believed it was in full working order prior to removal. It was not tested further at our facility. It is in good cosmetic condition but one of the feet has sheared off at the screw. It has some minor marks from use. This system was removed from a lab as it was no longer required. It was in full working order prior  (more)to removal from the lab. An engineer from Pacific Biosciences prepared the system for removal from the lab, including removing all the systems cladding, but unfortunately had to cut a few cables between the main unit and the environmental chamber. Whilst the blade server is included with the system, it has been wiped, so software may need reinstalling if you intend to use the system in full again. Strangely the information plate on the back of the unit just says 'PacBio RS' and not 'PacBio RS II' as would be expected, but the lab called it an RS II, and the cladding on the front says RS II, so we presume this is RS II. The engineer said that whilst getting the unit up and running again might be difficult, there is an enormous value of the system in parts. Apparently the camera part alone cost £125k. We have not removed any parts from the system whatsoever.
