Rheometers

Rheometers are apparatus that measure and analyse how a dispersion flows when subject to external forces. It is typically used for complex fluids or mixtures of fluids and particles for which the flow behaviour can not be characterised with just a viscosity that can be measured with simple viscometers.

SALS-Microscopy add-on device for KINEXUS rheometer

Small angle Light scattering and imaging device/add-on for Kinexus rheometer. SALSq05 is an optical (more)ly optimized design allowing both Small Angle Light Scattering (SALS) measurements in the polarized (VV) or depolarized (VH) geometry and low magnification microscopy combined with rheology. The device can also be extended to perform Dynamic Light Scattering or Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy under shear and LS-echo measurements. This model is a modular accessory to the Kinexus rheometer (NETZSCH Instruments, ex Malvern).
