The MW-04-3 mass converter is designed to be a component of construction of an industrial load cell  (more)scale. Depending on the needs, communication can be established via RS232, Profibus DP. The MW-04-3 mass converter can connect with weighing indicators or the PC. It is equipped with Inputs/Outputs enabling independent control of some industrial processes, e.g.: dosing. One MW-04-3 mass converter allows to operate up to 4 weighing platforms. Construction The converter is housed in a metal casing. Signal cables of the weighing platforms (4 pcs maximum) are fed through cable glands. RS232 is available on the M12 8P connector, Profibus DP may be fed through the PG11 cable gland. The device is equipped with an in-built power supply, this allows to power it directly from the mains. By standard the MW-04-3 mass converter supports 2 weighing platforms, optionally it can support 4. Formulations and Dosing in the Industry: Industrial weighing indicators are designed on the basis of an innovative approach to formulation and dosing processes. Communication between the indicators and the modern MW-04 mass converters boosts the functionality of systems that realise both dosing and formulations. Communication interfaces enable placing the weighing platform and the indicator in a considerable distance one from another. Formulation process carried out using RADWAG indicators is highly popular in various areas of industry, the indicators enable either manual or automatic dispensing of many ingredients in accordance with a pre-defined formulation. The AREX 5 Digital magnetic stirrer is a beautiful instrument with a dual digital display for thermoregulating samples with an accuracy of ± 1.0 °C. Thanks to the VTF system then, it will be possible to achieve an accuracy of ± 0.5°C. Pt100 and Pt1000 probes are also available as an option. RESISTANCE, SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE The plate of the AREX 5 Digital Velp model is IP42 certified and is made of aluminum alloy coated with a ceramic layer, which guarantees protection from scratches and chemical agents, making it very resistant and easy to clean. It is therefore preferred in laboratories where acids, bases and solvents are used. Safety circuits and overtemperature protection guarantee complete protection for the operators. Two light indicators inform the user when the heating function is active. Even when the instrument is switched off, a safety message ('HOT') remains on the display until the plate temperature drops below 50°C. A further alarm will detect the presence of the probe. The plate structure and the insulating disc protect the internal parts and ensure high resistance to the most demanding laboratory environments and applications, for example when working with cold fluids (below 0°C). AREX 5 is designed to last over time and like most Velp products it is guaranteed for 3 years. THERMOREGULATION When a temperature probe is connected, it is possible to choose 2 different thermoregulation modes to satisfy all laboratory needs: - FAST: the set temperature is reached quickly - FINE: the set temperature is reached more slowly, minimizing the overshoot SHAKING AREX 5 is equipped with a powerful brushless motor for daily applications, being able to agitate up to 20 liters (H2O). It is also equipped with SpeedServo™ technology, which allows the speed to be kept constant even when the viscosity of the sample varies. The combination of the powerful brushless motor and the strong magnetic coupling ensure homogeneous stirring, even in the peripheral areas of the plate, guaranteeing a constant speed in all positions. If so, learn about the functionality of the ELLIPSIS series of moisture analyzers: It Dries in 4 Ways The MA 5Y Moisture Analyzer offers you four drying profiles: standard, mild, fast and step. The standard profile is the usually used drying profile. It allows the most accurate determination of moisture content. The mild profile is designed for drying substances that are sensitive to the rapid heat released by the filaments, which heat full power at the initial stage of the process. An example of such a substance is leather. You will use the fast profile for samples with significant moisture content – of the order of even several tens of percent. The step profile will be ideal for drying substances that contain more than 15 percent moisture. Within this profile you can define any three temperatures. You will choose the values of temperature and duration of heating experimentally. What Drying Temperature Should I Set? The drying temperature determines the duration of the process. Its value depends on the type of material. If the temperature is too low, it will under-dry the sample and, consequently, unnecessarily increase the measurement time, while if it is too high, it will cause a burning effect on the material. The drying temperature for the traditional (oven) method is determined by industry or factory standards. If there are no standards, you will select the temperature experimentally. The maximum drying temperature on the MA 5Y Moisture Analyzer is 160°C. How Do I Finish the Drying? In 4 Ways The MA 5Y Moisture Analyzer has four finish modes: automatic, manual, time-defined and user-defined. Automatic mode You define the moisture loss limit value in 60 seconds. When the moisture analyzer reaches the set criterion, the measurement will automatically end. Manual mode You terminate the measurement yourself by pressing the STOP button. Time-defined mode The measurement ends after the set time has elapsed regardless of the result. You have up to 99 hours 59 minutes to manage! User-defined mode When you remove all volatiles from a sample, by definition, its mass should be constant. During drying, the dry mass of the sample is defined by a condition: if the mass of the sample is stable within 1 mg during the observation time (Auto 1-5), we consider that all volatile components have been removed from its structure.
