The Explorer Plus™ Semi-Micro EXP series by OHAUS offers premium-level weighing performance, regulatory compliance support, and data traceability. These balances are designed to meet the most demanding needs of modern scientific research, optimizing user experience and ensuring highly reliable results in advanced laboratories.
The removable control panel with a large, clear, and responsive 7-inch TFT glass display touchscreen, with 800×480 px resolution, offers chemical protection and two customizable status lights, ensuring maximum visibility and simple, safe use. The 80×80 mm Aero stainless steel pan, combined with the anti-static coated draft shield and integrated ionizer, guarantees precision and optimal sample protection. The balance is also equipped with sample illumination using white light and 7-color selectable status lights, all of which further enhance the user experience and productivity in the laboratory.

The EXP series supports regulatory compliance thanks to a 4-level user system, password protection, and internal logging of up to 100,000 events. The NTP time synchronization function ensures data traceability in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
Communication ports include USB-A, USB-B, USB-C, Ethernet, RS232, with additional options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle.
The EXP Semi-Micro balances offer capacities up to 220 g with resolution down to 0.01 mg and extremely fast stabilization times (≤5 s). Sensitivity is kept stable thanks to integrated environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.

Legend:
- D (Dual Range): indicates that the balance has a dual resolution: a finer one for small weights (Fine Range) and a less fine one for larger weights (Full Range). For example, 0.01 mg for small weights and 0.1 mg for larger weights. Not certified for commercial use.
- DM (Dual Range + Verification): same as the D model, but Class I certified for commercial use and features a verification interval (e) in accordance with legal metrology regulations.
- M (Verification): single high resolution (e.g. 0.01 mg) and Class I certified for commercial use, with a defined verification interval. These models are ideal for regulated laboratories where legal compliance and data traceability are required.
- The abbreviation “AD” indicates that the model is equipped with Advanced Display: remote color touchscreen with touchless sensors, sample illumination, customizable status lights, and quick controls for tare, printing, and other operations.
