When calibrating a multichannel pipette, a pump is used to simultaneously remove water from four vessels, greatly reducing the time required for pipette calibration. The AP-12.1.5Y monitors the ambient conditions using calibrated sensors: THB S (ambient conditions measurement) and THB W (liquid temperature measurement), in accordance with ISO 8655. To calibrate the device with mass standards, the weighing pan must be replaced with a pan dedicated to checking and calibrating the balance (both are included in the standard equipment).
