Description by the supplier

Einstein@Home is a distributed computing project that uses idle computer time to search for gravitational waves and other phenomena in data collected by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO). It is a volunteer computing project that relies on the contributions of individuals around the world who donate their idle computer time to help analyze the data.

Einstein@Home is named after Albert Einstein, whose theory of general relativity predicted the existence of gravitational waves. These waves are thought to be ripples in the fabric of space-time that are created by the acceleration of massive objects, such as black holes and neutron stars. The detection of gravitational waves is a major milestone in the field of physics, as it provides a new way to study the universe and test the predictions of Einstein's theory.

Einstein@Home is managed by a team of scientists and researchers from institutions around the world, and it is supported by a number of organizations, including the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics. The project is open to anyone who is interested in contributing their idle computer time to the search for gravitational waves.

Circulation chillers for reliable continuous operation in laboratory and research applications from  (more)-10 to 40°C The LAUDA Microcool line, simple, easy to use, consists of four compact models with large LED display and membrane keyboard, which offer cooling capacities from 0.25 to 1.2 kW. The strong point of these devices is the high-quality centrifugal pump with magnetic coupling - unique on the market for this price category: the magnetic coupling of the pump and the electric motor prevents any kind of sealing problem on the pump shaft. The MC 250 and MC 350 models easily fit on a laboratory bench. Larger models MC 600 and MC 1200 with 600 and 1200 watts of cooling capacity are also available, which can be placed on the floor or under a laboratory bench to save space. In addition, the MC 1200 W, the most powerful device, is also available in a water-cooled version. Notable features - Auto start timer and auto power off function - Top filling opening, drain connection on the back - Cooling capacity adapted via solenoid valve control, including automatic compressor control Examples of specific applications - Rotary evaporators - Distillation systems - Spectrometers - Supply of cooling traps - Digital print - Laser cut - Spot welding - Injection molding - Tunnel drilling machines - Centralized cooling water supply Accessories included Nozzles for pump connections; screw cap Performance graph of the pump of the LAUDA Microcool CHILLER. Simple three button control panel, with display and three LED indications: heat transfer liquid required; active cooling unit; device error. Connections on the back of the Microcool: RS232; drain screw; external alarm output. Connections on the back of the Microcools: inlet/outlet pump connection; overflow connection. Front liquid level indicator. Front cover for filling. Front panel of the Microcool LAUDA easily removable for fast filter maintenance.
