The HANNA HI96753 is a state-of-the-art portable photometer designed for precise chloride and chlorine analysis. This newly introduced equipment, available in its original packaging, offers substantial accuracy and convenience for professionals in environmental monitoring and water quality analysis.

Key features include a chloride range of 0.0 to 20.0 mg/L (ppm) with a resolution of 0.1 mg/L and an accuracy of ±0.5 mg/L ±6% of reading. The chloride method utilizes an adaptation of the mercury (II) thiocyanate method. For total chlorine, it measures ranges from 0.000 to 0.500 mg/L with a resolution of 0.001 mg/L and an accuracy of ±0.020 mg/L ±3% of reading, employing the USEPA method 330.5 for measurement.

The photometer/light source is a tungsten lamp, coupled with a silicon photocell detector featuring a narrow band interference filter at 525 nm for high-precision readings. It operates on a 9V battery, with an automatic shut-off feature safeguarding battery life by switching off the device after ten minutes of non-use in measurement mode and after one hour in calibration mode, while retaining the last reading.

Designed to operate in diverse environments from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F), with relative humidity maxing at 95% non-condensing, the photometer is lightweight at 360g and compact, measuring 193 x 104 x 69 mm.
