Mueller PyroPure P4003 Pure Steam Condensing System

The Mueller PyroPure P4003 Pure Steam Condensing System is a high-capacity unit designed for pharmaceutical manufacturing. It produces pyrogen-free and endotoxin-free water-for-injection (WFI) through the condensation of pure steam. Adhering to U.S. Pharmacopoeia (USP) WFI standards, CE marked, and FDA compliant, it incorporates 3.1B material certification for added assurance. Installed new in 2015 by Freestead Process Technology, it features an Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC and a Panel View Plus 1000 HMI.

With a production capacity of 100 gallons (379 liters) of WFI-quality distillate per hour, the P4003 effortlessly meets the demanding needs of pharmaceutical facilities. Additional specifications include a pure steam inlet capacity of 807 pounds (366 kilograms) per hour and a coolant requirement of 978 gallons (3702 liters) per hour.

The system’s design utilizes a tangential nozzle to optimize impurity separation, ensuring high-quality output. Crafted from electro-polished 316/316L stainless steel, it boasts fully drainable components to minimize contamination risk. The condenser features a removable tube bundle for easy cleaning and maintenance, requiring just 24 inches of clearance on all sides.

The PyroPure P4003 offers installation flexibility, being compatible with a pure steam generator for dual output or as a stand-alone unit for remote use. Its minimal instrumentation simplifies operation, making it suitable for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare applications requiring sterile environments and critical cleaning procedures.
