Description from the supplier

A homogenizer serves as an essential instrument in both laboratory and industrial settings, facilitating the homogenization process of various materials, including fabrics, plant matter, food substances, soil, and more.

Presenting the OV 625 Digital laboratory disperser — a cutting-edge solution for your diverse laboratory needs. A hallmark of Velp's advanced technological innovation and engineering prowess, this device ensures high precision coupled with vigorous shear force, expeditating the homogenization, emulsification, suspension, and rapid mixing process of biological tissues, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food products.

Boasting impressive mechanical properties and premium chemical resistance, this tool is sufficiently resilient to withstand the most rigorous of laboratory tasks.

DISPLAY AND CONTROL
The OV 625 Digital laboratory disperser is engineered with a clear and intuitive LED display, featuring rotary controls that allow you to modulate the speed between 3,000 and 25,000 rpm with finesse. The clutter-free speed information against a dark background augments visibility in all lighting conditions.

SAFE AND RESILIENT
Designed with a discerning focus on operator safety, the instrument gradually accelerates to the user-set speed, while built-in alarms alert the user of potential overload or overheating. Its robust and airtight structure enables consistent performance under challenging conditions, and the product comes with a warranty of up to three years.

For maximum usability and comfort, consider opting for the model equipped with a dual-pole stand.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT ACCESSORY
The right dispersing tool is paramount for optimal performance and precision. VELP's dispersing tools, comprised of stainless steel (316L) and featuring a PTFE seal, are built for compatibility with varying types of samples and reagents. Different fluids necessitate various dispersion tools; in some applications, using dual dispersing tools is essential to achieve the desired fineness level. With a convenient knob and quick-fastening system, switching between applications is amazingly swift and straightforward.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

A disperser, also known as a high shear mixer, cell lysor, polytron, stator rotor homogenizer, sonicizer, or tissue tear, is a versatile tool with multiple applications, primarily used to create a consistent mixture by channeling the sample through a constricted space.

Devices like Velp's OV 625 Digital – a blade homogenizer, leverage the rotating blades for effective dispersion.

The functioning of a disperser hinges on its dispersion tool comprised of a rotor, rotating at a high speed within a stationary stator. The gap between the rotor's tip and stator's slot — known as the shear gap, plays a crucial role in the dispersion process. Owing to the high circumferential speed, the fluid is drawn into the dispersion head axially and then forced radially through the shear gap, effectively breaking down the particles.
