Novex Quickpoint (from Invitrogen) is a fast and easy acrylamide gel electrophoresis system for separating nucleic acids. The system can also be used to run sequencing reactions where short DNA read lengths (60-80bp) may be sufficient, such as in site directed mutagenesis. This system uses a pH-neutral buffer that increases the stability of the gel and allows better resolution of bands compared to the usual TBE buffer.

The microscope focus motor/Z-Drive has been removed from this unit. We have removed the microscope focus motor/Z-Drive from this system. It is sold for spares/repairs. When connected up to the power supply we could not hear the unit power on.Inside the unit it appears have been tampered with as there are several cables and connector cables not attached to anything the EARTH cable is also not attached. This robust design facilitates weighing of heavy loads in humid environment. The ramps enable easy loading and unloading. Indicator with a colour 7” graphic display and a diode bar graph allow to observe visualisation of a current load mass presented in relation to the scale range or declared minimum and maximum thresholds.
