The Laboport SD N 860.3 FT.40.18 is a state-of-the-art, two-stage pump fitted with an inbuilt "self-drying" system for the automated drainage of condensate. This "SD" series is a popular choice within laboratory environments, specifically when handling humid vapors and the requirement for a clean, environmentally-friendly vacuum is paramount. This pump is ideally suited for vacuum ovens, whether for drying chemicals, treating heat, or drying biological samples, alongside autoclaves for sterilization of containers, instruments, textiles, and filters. The utilization of anti-corrosive materials in its composition enables it to vacuum even the most corrosive products efficiently.
The heartbeat of this pump is epitomized by the PTFE diaphragm possessing a unique structure. It is optimized to ensure exceptional performance with compact dimensions and a lengthy lifecycle, even in the face of heavy usage.
Humid gases' absorption can occasionally lead to condensation forming within the pump head, causing a performance drop and an increase in the evacuation time. However, the integrated 'drying system' counteracts this by opening a solenoid valve, allowing ambient air into the heads, effectively eliminating condensation. The pump can then operate at full capacity again until subsequent condensation forms, triggering another cycle. Users have the power to adjust the time sequence between cycles and the air injection duration.
