The Motic GM-171 Trinocular Stereo Microscope is expertly designed for gemological and precious mineral work, providing a magnification range of 7.5X to 50X. Utilizing a Greenough optical system, it offers superior clarity and depth, making it ideal for detailed analysis. The trinocular head is inclined at 45° for ergonomic viewing, and the fixed 50:50 light split allows for precise imaging. Its adjustable interpupillary distance (52-75mm) and diopter adjustment (+/- 5 diopter) on both eyepieces ensure a comfortable and customizable viewing experience. The widefield WF10X/23mm eyepieces also deliver a broad field of view for a comprehensive look at samples.


This microscope features a 6.7:1 zoom system with objectives ranging from 0.75X to 5X and a working distance of 110mm, offering flexibility in handling samples. The 360° rotatable base and tiltable stand allow for easy adjustments to viewing angles, while the adjustable iris diaphragm (Ø41mm - Ø2mm) offers precise control over illumination. Incident illumination is provided by a 7W fluorescent light with a gooseneck for adjustability, while transmitted illumination comes from a 6V/30W Quartz Halogen lamp with intensity control and a darkfield illuminator. Complete with a dust cover, stainless steel wire stone holder, and an aluminum carrying case, the Motic GM-171 is a comprehensive tool for professionals in gemology.
