The Unitron Z12 Zoom Stereo Microscope features a Common Main Objective design with a 12.5:1 zoom ratio, providing a 6.3x to 320x magnification range. It supports multiple stand options:
- Plain focusing stand with coaxial focusing arm and 100mm black and white stage plate
- Transmitted light base with sliding/tilting mirror
- Slim profile LED transmitted light base offering bright, energy-efficient illumination
Key optical features include:
- Apochromatic objectives for sharp color reproduction and high-resolution imaging
- 5° to 45° tilting trinocular observation head customizable for ergonomic viewing
- Trinocular port allowing simultaneous use of eyepieces and digital camera
- Click-stop zoom positions at 0.63, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8x for reproducible magnification settings
- Plan 10x/23mm FOV focusing eyepieces with diopter adjustment and compatible with 26.5mm reticles
- Variable Zoom Magnification System with parallel optical axis and iris (Galilean optical system)
- Interpupillary distance adjustable from 52mm to 75mm
- 1.0x semi-apochromatically corrected common main objective with Numerical Aperture 0.1 and working distance of 78mm

- CAT# 11200-T: Fixed incline 30° trinocular head, 50/50 eyepiece/camera split
- CAT# 11200-TE: Ergonomic tilting trinocular head adjustable 5°–45°, view split options 0:100 or 100:0 eyepiece/camera
