- Glass side: chemically strengthened Dragontrail glass (0.5 mm thick), coated with Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) for uniform heating; flush with stage; surface sensor ensures ±0.3°C accuracy on specimen temperature; optically transparent and warm surface; protected by rigid aluminum frame; 10-year warranty on glass damage.
- Metal side: trimmed 24 mm diameter observation opening designed for oil immersion lens imaging; independent temperature sensor allowing separate temperature control from the glass side.
- Both sides are controlled independently via the H401-T-CONTROLLER, a dual-channel temperature controller with:
- 4.3-inch touch screen interface
- External temperature sensor included
- Temperature range from ambient to 60°C
- Temperature accuracy of ±0.3°C on specimen
- On-board data logging with USB download capability
- Password-protected calibration routines against certified thermometers
- Alarm buzzer and external alarm connector
- Capability to control two heating devices independently
- Self-calibration routines for improved accuracy
- The system requires use of both control channels on the H401-T-CONTROLLER for simultaneous regulation of the glass and metal heating elements.
