Syngene Chemi Genius 2 BIO Imaging System

This Syngene Chemi Genius 2 BIO Imaging System, including a PC and GeneSnap software, originated from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements. Although the system powers up, it faces challenges in establishing communication with the PC, necessitating repairs. The entire system, along with individual components such as the Syngene GV2M30 Transilluminated Stage and associated hardware, are in good cosmetic condition with only minor surface wear. The unit powers on with a distinctive green light; however, the internal kettle lead does not connect to the transilluminator stage. When powered using an external kettle lead, the stage and all switches, including the UV light, function properly, although no further testing could be conducted. The bundled RM Expert 3030 PC, with Serial#: 1053612636, powers on but fails to establish a connection with the Syngene unit. It includes Gene Snap Software Version 6.08.04, yet displays a 'NO BYTES READ!' error indicating serial port failure. The HP LP2065 Monitor powers on and interfaces smoothly with the PC. Despite these challenges, the equipment is an excellent candidate for spare parts or a detailed repairs project.
