Dry block heater ECODryBlock Velp

ECODryBlock is a modular, digital, high-precision dry block designed to ensure uniform, stable, and controlled temperature conditions across multiple samples. It provides precise and reproducible heating, ideal for sample preparation, incubation, DNA denaturation, enzymatic reactions, and culture media testing. Thanks to its wide temperature range of up to 165 °C, it is also suitable for COD analysis.

MODULATE.

Thanks to its modular design, a single ControlPad can drive up to two independent heating modules, each of which is capable of accommodating two aluminum blocks. This configuration allows different temperatures to be set on each module, effectively functioning as two centrally managed dry toilets in one.

Optionally, you will find a wide range of interchangeable and easy-to-clean aluminum blocks, designed to accommodate vials, microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes, PCR strips, Greiner tubes, microplates and cuvettes. This provides maximum flexibility for life science and environmental analysis laboratories.

CONTROL.

The intuitive touchscreen interface allows you to easily set temperature and timer, giving you total control, operational safety and maximum efficiency.

ECODryBlock is simple, clear and intuitive to operate, thanks to the 7" capacitive touch screen ControlPad with a chemical-resistant glass surface. The graphical interface is designed for immediate use: large buttons, clear icons and well-organized menus allow you to easily navigate through the settings and control each function with just a few taps.

The user can independently set the timer and temperature for each module, with a resolution of 0.5 °C, thus achieving precise control over multiple processes simultaneously.

For analyses that require high-precision thermal regulation, external Pt100 and Pt1000 probes can be connected, allowing direct and precise measurement of the temperature inside the sample.

A complete range of dedicated accessories expands the versatility of ECODryBlock and simplifies its use, such as the ergonomic handle that allows you to remove hot blocks safely, easily and quickly.

The wireless connection helps keep the workbench tidy and free of cables, while the compact, modern design optimizes space and easily adapts to changing lab needs.

The most important applications that this tool allows you to carry out concern all the main laboratory fields: molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, clinical analysis, chemistry and environmental studies.
Let's go into specifics:

Incubation and sample preparation – Used in molecular biology and microbiology for DNA/RNA extraction and purification, enzymatic reactions, digestion of biological samples, and activation or maintenance of cell cultures under controlled conditions.

Denaturation and Assay Preparation – Used in biochemistry and diagnostics for DNA and protein denaturation, sample preparation for SDS-PAGE, serological studies, immunoassays (ELISA), and clinical tests such as blood coagulation and urea nitrogen determination. It is also suitable for in situ hybridization procedures and other molecular analysis protocols.

Physical and Chemical Studies – Used in analytical and pharmaceutical chemistry for melting and boiling point determination, culture media testing, thermal stability analysis, and other laboratory applications that require precise thermal control.

Thanks to its wide temperature range, up to 165 °C, ECODryBlock is also used in environmental laboratories for the determination of the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in water, a fundamental parameter for the assessment of environmental quality.
