The Labomed Lx POL microscope features precision strain-free (SF) optics for minimal optical impurity interference and enhanced contrast. The model includes a:
- Stand: Single mold sturdy with anti-rust materials and extended base for added stability.
- Viewing Body: Siedentopf binocular head, 30° inclined, 360° rotatable, interpupillary distance (IPD) 52–75 mm.
- Eyepieces: Focusable wide-field 10x/20mm with foldable eye guard; one eyepiece includes a factory-installed fixed-verticality crosshair (accepts 24mm reticles).
- Nosepiece: Reverse angle quadruple nosepiece (ball bearing type) with click stops and independently centerable objectives.
- Analyzer/Bertrand Lens Module: Adjustable analyzer with centration screws; focusable Bertrand lens with front-mounted centering screws; slider slots accept compensator plates (λ, 1/4 λ, Quartz-Wedge plates included).
- Polarizer: Rotating with orientation markers every 90°.
- Objectives: SF series infinity-corrected DIN Plan Achromatic: 4x (WD 30.0mm), 10x (WD 7.00mm), 40x (WD 0.65mm); optional 100x spring-loaded oil objective (WD 0.23mm).
- Stage: Large 160 mm circular, 360° rotatable with one degree increments and two locking brakes, spring clips included.
- Condenser: 0.9 NA centerable strain-free condenser.
- Focusing: Feather-touch, attrition-free coaxial coarse and fine focus with auto-tension adjustment and weighted fine focus for smooth operation.
- Illumination: LED illumination with intensity control and Koehler field diaphragm.
- Electrical: Universal input 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz with built-in voltage sensing power supply.
