Eppendorf Thermomixer Comfort - Shaking Heating Block

The Eppendorf Thermomixer Comfort enables simultaneous mixing and precise temperature control, making it invaluable for a variety of laboratory applications, including enzyme reactions, DNA/RNA/protein denaturation, bacterial and yeast cultures, bead technology, plasmid isolation, DNA fragment extraction from agarose gels, immunoprecipitation, and hybridization. It features two selectable program sequences with incubation, mixing, and rest phases, followed by cooling to 13°C below ambient temperature, and automatic thermoblock recognition with a display of maximum revolutions.

The unit is equipped with a 24x 1.5 mL block. The active Peltier heating element and counter cooling provide a wide temperature control range from 13°C below ambient up to 99°C, with a thermostatic accuracy of ± 0.5°C (between 20°C and 45°C) and ± 2°C for other ranges. It offers short, intermittent mix, and pause functions along with a timer function ranging from 1 minute to 99.59 hours or continuous operation. The mixing speed ranges from 300 to 1500 rpm with an amplitude of 3mm. The heating rate is approximately 5°C/min, with a cooling rate of 2 – 3°C/min from 99°C to ambient, and 0.5 – 1°C/min from ambient to 13°C below ambient. This compact unit measures 220 x 250 x 125 mm and weighs 3.2 kg.
