The Ettan IPGphor Isoelectric Focusing System performs first dimension isoelectric focusing (IEF) in (more) 2-dimensional (2-D) electrophoresis. The system comprises Immobiline DryStrip gel strips, which contain an immobilized pH gradient (IPG); strip holders, which serve as both rehydration and IEF chambers for the IPG strips; and the Ettan IPGphor unit, which includes a high-voltage DC power supply, solid state temperature control, and can be programmed with up to ten user-defined IEF protocols. This Thermo Scientific Histostar Tissue Embedding Centre was removed from a university lab where it  (more)was surplus to requirements. The unit powers on and has been tested. It is in working order. The screen is slightly faulty but is still readable. There are lines through the display. The wax melting tank and lights have been tested and are working. It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but has some marks from use. There are some trays of accessories included.
