Heraeus Biofuge 13 centrifuge 1991-cover
Heraeus Biofuge 13 centrifuge 1991

The Heraeus Biofuge 13 centrifuge is a bit like a classic car: it may be old, but it still has plent (more)y of life left in it! Despite its age, this centrifuge is still super useful and remains a beloved tool for many researchers and technicians. Sure, it may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the newer models, but the Biofuge 13 is a classic that gets the job done. It's like the lab equivalent of an old pickup truck: not the fanciest thing on the block, but it's reliable and it's been around the block a few times. One of the best things about the Biofuge 13 is its versatility. It's like a Swiss Army knife of centrifuges: it can handle a wide range of samples and applications, from DNA isolation to protein purification. And despite being a bit of an old-timer, it's still got some serious speed, reaching up to 13,000 RPM to ensure efficient separation of samples. Now, of course, some people might say that the Biofuge 13 is a bit...well, dated. But we like to think of it as a classic that never goes out of style. It's like a lab version of a vintage vinyl record: it may be a bit scratchy, but it's still got that warm, authentic sound that you just can't replicate with a digital file. And let's not forget about the cost savings! The Biofuge 13 may be a bit long in the tooth, but it's still an affordable option for labs with limited budgets. It's like finding a classic car at a garage sale: sure, it might need a bit of work, but you can't beat the price. In conclusion, the Heraeus Biofuge 13 centrifuge is a bit like a fine wine or a classic rock band: it only gets better with age. Despite being an older model, it remains a valuable tool for many labs, thanks to its versatility, reliability, and affordability. So let's raise a glass (or a test tube) to the Biofuge 13 and all the other classic lab instruments that continue to get the job done!

Sigma 113 Laboratorium Centrifuge-cover
Sigma 113 Laboratorium Centrifuge

SIGMA 113 benchtop centrifuge Build year: 1995 Max speed: 13000rpm.; Timer 3 to 15 minutes; Equip (more)ped with rotor 12027, Rotor capacity 12 x 1.5 ml tubes; Without lid Other rotors available on request The old Sigma 113 laboratory centrifuge is still functional despite its age due to its robust design and quality construction. It was built with high-quality materials and mechanical components that were designed to withstand the test of time. One of the key reasons the Sigma 113 is still functional is because of its simple and reliable design. Unlike more modern centrifuges, which can have complicated electronic controls and software, the Sigma 113 has a more straightforward mechanical operation. This makes it easy to operate and maintain, and reduces the likelihood of technical failures. The Sigma 113 also has a relatively high maximum speed and can generate a centrifugal force of up to 17,500 x g. This is impressive for a laboratory centrifuge of its size and age, and makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from sample preparation to cell culture and separation of different types of biomolecules. Another advantage of the Sigma 113 is its affordability. Despite its age, it can still be found on the second-hand market at a relatively low cost, making it an accessible option for labs with limited budgets. To conclude, the Sigma 113's functional reliability is a testament to its quality construction and design. It may not have all the bells and whistles of more modern centrifuges, but its straightforward operation and durability make it a valuable and functional piece of laboratory equipment, even today.

Meridian Bioscience illumipro-10 Incubator Reader Laser Diode DNA Amplification-cover
Meridian Bioscience illumipro-10 Incubator Reader Laser Diode DNA Amplification

Manufacturer: Meridian Biosciene, Inc. Model: illumipro-10™ Incubator Reader with Thermal Printer P/ (more)N: 610172 S/N: IP2010 Description: The illumipro-10™ is an automated isothermal amplification and detection  system for use with Meridian Bioscience, Inc. illumigene® Loop-Mediated  Amplification products. The illumipro-10™ is intended to be used by trained laboratory professional  users in laboratory settings. Isothermal amplification is carried out by two independently controlled heat  blocks capable of operating between 55 C and 65 C, and within 1 C of the  temperature set point. The isothermal amplification temperature set point is dictated by the  illumigene Assay selected. Isothermal amplification time is monitored by the illumipro-10’s internal timer. When in operation, the illumipro-10 will display  ‘Test in Progress’ as well as block temperature and incubation time remaining. DNA amplification detection is completed by the illumipro-10 optics system. Each  illumipro-10 block contains laser diodes illuminating at 650 ± 20 nm and corresponding detectors monitoring light transmission across each illumipro-10  well. The illumipro-10 performs an initial check of the optics system prior to run start. Observed failures in the optics system disable the instrument  block until the failure can be resolved. After successful optics verification, the illumipro-10 checks for the presence of an illumigene test device in each  well. The illumipro-10 automatically enters a Sample ID of ‘EMPTY WELL’ for all wells that a test device cannot be detected in. The illumipro-10 measures  the absorbance of each illumigene test device at the beginning and end of the isothermal amplification incubation. Sample results are reported as INVALID,  POSITIVE, or NEGATIVE based on the observed change in absorbance. Key Facts: • Optimal flexibility for stat or batch runs• True walk away capability for optimized workflow• Very low maintenance requirements enhance efficiency• Instrument verifications can be performed with in-house personnel Features: • Digital Display (guides users through process)• Automatic system self-check• Reaction Blocks (operate independently)• Barcode reader (for sample ID entry)• Small Footprint (of instrument is only 21 cm x 29.2 cm) Performance features of the illumipro-10 include the following: • Self-diagnostics are performed at power-on and at Run start• Self-diagnostic for Test Device Placement and Optics Path Verification• Lid Closure Detection and Lid Lock Feature• Thermal Heat Block with Optics Detection at each well with Visible Light  Emission/Absorbance (650 ± 20 nm)• Interval Timer with Real-Time Assay Processing Time Display• Simple LCD User Interface for Instrument Set-up, Program Selection and Sample  Identification Input• Barcode Scanner for Sample Identification entry• External Keyboard available for Sample Identification entry• Attached Printer for results reporting• Control of amplification product carry-over through use of the self-contained  illumigene Test Device Items delivered: - Meridian Bioscience illumipro-10 Incubator Reader- Meridian Bioscience illumipro-10 Thermo Printer- Power Cord & Connection Cables- Instruction Manual The incubator reader is in absolutely like new condition and 100% functional  tested.
