Product Description

This Techne Thermal Cycler 3 Prime was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The item is in reasonable cosmetic condition. There are stains on the top of the lid and by the LCD display. The right hinge has broken on the inside, which causes that section to not sit flat.
The rubber seal around the heat block has broken and can come loose. This doesn't seem to affect its ability to retain heat. The 24x well block fits 0.1ml test vials.
The item powered on without issue. It was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).
When set to 37 the thermometer measured 36.7˚C.When set to the max of 100 the thermometer measured 100.0˚C.The heated lid works as intended.
