The BMG LABTECH POLARstar Omega is a German-manufactured multi-mode microplate reader optimized for life science assays including FRET, TR-FRET, BRET, and cell-based applications.

- Optics: Simultaneous dual emission detection with automatic top/bottom optic switching
- Incubation: Temperature-controlled chamber adjustable up to 60°C (ambient +5 to 45°C standard)
- Light source: High energy xenon flashlamp
- Filter wheel: 8 filters for excitation and emission selectable
- Dispensing speed: 100 to 420 µl/s
- Measurement time: Approximately 9 seconds per 96-well plate
- Detection system: Two matched photomultiplier tubes
- Absorbance accuracy: Less than 1% at 2 optical density
- Plate compatibility: Supports plates from 6 to 1536 wells
