The large, high resolution touch screen presents the user with an icon-based menu system and allows quick and intuitive access to a wide range of useful functions. A precisely engineered Electromagnetic Force Restoration (EFR) weigh cell accurately determines masses to sub milligram levels. Two models are available in the Tx Series: The W3102A-220 has a max capacity of 220g and readability of 0.1 mg. The W3002A-120 is a semi-micro class balance with a maximum capacity of 120g, and readability of 0.01mg up to 62g. The Tx internal calibration system helps ensure that the balance is always calibrated and ready for use. Auto calibration can also be set to occur at specific time intervals depending on user preference. A high resolution thermal probe is incorporated in the core of the EFR weigh cell, and if measured temperature fluctuates slightly, the balance will automatically compensate.A USB port on the side accepts a flash drives for storage of weighing data, which can then be transferred to a computer. This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements. The unit powers up but  (more)when we tried to connect it to a PC with software we had some issues. (Software not included). We installed software on a test PC and it did seem to connect to the RG3000, but it is stating that there is a Fatal Hardware Malfunction. The machine can't be used until the distributor has service it. After starting it again we got another error: Thermistor is Open. We have removed the casing to check inside the unit and cannot find any obvious issues. There is an LCD panel inside that is showing 'TEMP OVER 140/127.5/2.1/152.0'. This displays as soon as the unit is switched on, so it looks like there is some sort of temperature error happening. There are 4 x PTC EPCOS C810 Thermistors in the power supply section of the unit. It's possible that there is a fault with at least one of those. It is in otherwise reasonable cosmetic condition with marks from use, but is sold for spares/repairs The item holds up to 72 x 0.1ml strip tubes.
