A stent is a type of prosthesis that is placed inside a blood vessel to restore its patency. Stent D (more)ozens of lives are saved thanks to it. Its shape, size, and weight must be matched to the blood vessel. In addition, the stent application site requires attention to sterility. These properties necessitate the use of balances with the highest resolution for the inspection of stents. The stent weighing kit has been designed to ensure that such a delicate sample, a stent, is weighed with the greatest precision possible, yet in an easy and ergonomic manner. The said precision is obtained thanks to the XA 5Y.M.A.S. microbalances, and ergonomics due to the specially designed weighing pan and additional draft shields. The weighing pans that are part of the kit allow for weighing stents of different sizes, including 5.5 × 140 mm, 6 × 60 mm, 8 × 40 mm, 8 × 40 mm, 19 × 10 mm, and 1.6 × 19 mm. Thanks to the well-thought-out design of the kit and its applicators, the user places the stent on a special tray, which increases ergonomics and eliminates cross-contamination. The stent weighing kit includes 7 items: draft shield base, 2 draft shields, 2 fork-shaped stent weighing pans: for small (1) and large (1) stents, 2 stent applicators: for small (1) and large (1) stents. Due to the different shapes and sizes of stents, two types of weighing pans, dedicated covers, and size-appropriate applicators come standard with the kit. The RADWAG-manufactured microbalance is a versatile solution. Therefore, it can be operated by a right- or left-handed person. The overall design of the kit, i.e. a fork-shaped weighing pan with an additional draft shield, has eliminated the difficulties associated with weighing of a small-weight sample of a relatively large volume such as stent. With this, the stent weighing results are obtained with an accuracy equal to that of the balance. The kit is intended for all load capacities of the XA 5Y.M.A.S. series balances.

The MW-04-3 mass converter is designed to be a component of construction of an industrial load cell  (more)scale. Depending on the needs, communication can be established via RS232, Profibus DP. The MW-04-3 mass converter can connect with weighing indicators or the PC. It is equipped with Inputs/Outputs enabling independent control of some industrial processes, e.g.: dosing. One MW-04-3 mass converter allows to operate up to 4 weighing platforms. Construction The converter is housed in a metal casing. Signal cables of the weighing platforms (4 pcs maximum) are fed through cable glands. RS232 is available on the M12 8P connector, Profibus DP may be fed through the PG11 cable gland. The device is equipped with an in-built power supply, this allows to power it directly from the mains. "Formulations" software makes use of the weighing indicators functionality to the maximum when it comes to their operation along with actuators, e.g. control of dosing valves. Additional advantage is the possibility to set an interrelated ingredient dosing on various platforms within one formulation process. Formulations and Dosing in the Industry: Industrial weighing indicators are designed on the basis of an innovative approach to formulation and dosing processes. Communication between the indicators and the modern MW-04 mass converters boosts the functionality of systems that realise both dosing and formulations. Communication interfaces enable placing the weighing platform and the indicator in a considerable distance one from another. Formulation process carried out using RADWAG indicators is highly popular in various areas of industry, the indicators enable either manual or automatic dispensing of many ingredients in accordance with a pre-defined formulation. Practically any product can be a formulation ingredient, either it is a loose material such as sugar, tea, grain, spices, powders etc. or liquid, this is possible thanks to appropriate automation. This Carl Padberg Zentrifugenbau LE was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requir (more)ements. The cosmetic condition of this item is fairly good and it has powered on. We set the unit to 20,000rpm. It does ramp up quite slowly to speed. It reached 21,000+ and started to hold speed. We're not sure how accurate the speed adjustment is. It didn't seem to fully hold at 20,000rpm, it kept slowly rising. The belt looks like it needs replacing too. For this reason, It is sold for spare/repairs The speed range is from 15000 to 40000 rpm.
