The Thermo Scientific 222-289600 Smart ITR is an internal reflection accessory for compatible Thermo Nicolet FT-IR spectrometers, including Nexus, iS, and FTIR-i series instruments. It uses an integrated germanium (Ge) sample plate for direct measurement of samples placed on the crystal surface.
- Designed for total internal reflection (ITR) measurements in the mid-infrared range
- Suitable for solids, powders, viscous liquids, pastes, polymer films, active pharmaceutical ingredients, cosmetic powders, and food waxes
- Requires a small sample volume of approximately 2–4 µL
- Germanium crystal diameter: approximately 10 mm
- ITR contact design: L-shaped Ge disk with defined reflection planes
- Typical spectral range: 4000–650 cm⁻¹
- Module dimensions: approximately 130 × 70 × 50 mm
